Capgemini today announced a major contract win. The European Commission selected Capgemini’s consortium for a critical four-year agreement. This multi-million Euro deal is the MC17 FREIA Cyber Framework Contract. The winning consortium includes Airbus Protect, PwC, and NVISO. The Directorate-General for Digital Services (DIGIT) manages this public service contract.
Furthermore, the team will provide comprehensive EU Cybersecurity services. They aim to protect critical Digital Infrastructure across the union. The contract covers 71 European Institutions, Bodies, and Agencies (IBAs). Notably, the combined group secured all three contract lots. This reflects robust strength in the security value chain. The win is a strong endorsement of their end-to-end support.
The new agreement directly supports Europe’s digital ambitions. Capgemini will significantly enhance Europe’s Cyber Resilience. They actively support the crucial push for Digital Sovereignty. The consortium addresses evolving cyber threats immediately. The necessary work focuses on governance and risk management. It also includes incident response and security operations. Consequently, these focused services help institutions drive long-term digital transformation. The comprehensive approach strictly supports several key EU mandates. These include the NIS2 Directive and the DORA regulation. They also ensure compliance with the Cyber Resilience Act.
